Short Story

We wrote a short story which had to have between 450 and 600 words and had to finish with the sentence "That was the last time he/she ever saw...".

The Street

Sophie was a 17-year-old, short, thin girl. She had long, black hair and big, round green eyes. She was a very good and generous girl who had lots of friends .Sophie lived in a spacious and luxurious house in the city of London with her father, her mother, her older sister and her little brother.
One night, she was walking down the avenue with a friend of her called Lucy. Lucy was 17 years old as Sophie and she was a tall girl, she had short, blonde hair and blue eyes. After going to the shopping centre, they were going to a party which was going to start in ten minutes.
“We are going to be late!” complained Sophie
“No! It´s early.” answered her friend
“We have ten minutes left!” Sophie screamed “We have ten minutes to arrive there! And the party is far from here!” She kept on complaining.
“Ok, calm down.” answered Lucy “I know a shortcut, follow me.”
“OK” Lucy answered.
They kept on walking down the avenue for one more block and then they turned left and entered to a deserted, shabby little street. They walked through that alley as they talked.
“The party will be great! I can’t wait to get there!”, Lucy said, they were very excited because of that party.
“Yes, me too! How much time have we got to get there?”, she asked.
“Five minutes.” answered the other girl.
“Ok.”, said Sophie.
They kept on walking for two or three more minutes when they passed through a darker part and Sophie said:
“Hey, Lucy, I don´t like this street.”
“But, if we don´t come through here, we will be later.”, answered Sophie´s friend.
“Yes, I know, but I just don´t like it. I don´t know why.”, answered the black-haired one.
They walked, walked and walked until they saw a man coming in front of them. He was more or less a block ahead of them but they could perfectly see him.
“I don´t like that man”, whispered Sophie, “Can we cross the street?”
“Ok.”, answered her friend.
They crossed the street, but the man also did that. That happened two or three times until they realized that that man wanted to do something to them. They kept on walking, frightened, until they faced the tall, filthy man.
“Give me everything you have!”, he said quickly as he looked at them.
“Why?”, asked Lucy while Sophie hit her and told her to shut up.
“Shut up and give me everything! Or I’ll shoot you”, said the man as he took a gun out of his jacket.
The girls were really scared now, “Okay, okay”, they said as they gave their bags and their cell phones to the man.
“Now, you will go and you won’t look back”, the robber said.
The girls went away in the opposite direction. They walked for more or less thirty meters when Sophie made the mistake of turning around. She was only able to see the robber, and to hear Lucy screaming when she heard a powerful sound and all turned black.
That was the last time she ever saw the robber. That was the last time she ever saw Lucy. That was the last time she ever saw anyone.

Review

The Hobbit 2
The hobbit: The desolation of Smaug is the second part of the saga directed by Peter Jackson. It is based on J. R. R Tolkien´s book “The hobbit”. It is an action film and the story takes place in the middle earth.
The hobbit is about a group of dwarves that, accompanied by Gandalf (a wizard) and Bilbo(The hobbit), want to go to the lonely mountain which is inside the city of Erebor. Inside it, there is a Dragon called Smaug. If they want the Erebor back, they will have to do something with Smaug.
The story is full of action and emotion. It is a very interesting and entertaining film, full of marvellous creatures and amazing landscapes. The movie is very good and has a lot of thrilling and exciting moments.
I strongly recommend you to watch this movie. You should watch it because it is excellent and it will catch your attention from the very beginning.

Monologue

In drama I created my own character. It is called “Alex”. I wrote a monologue to give him voice. This is me playing the role.

Monologue:
When I was a human I used to feel very bad, I felt that I was useless and that nobody wanted me, and that was horrible, I really suffered when I was a boy, and all because of that. It made me suffer because I believed nobody wanted and that I had no friends and it me made me feel I was alone, and that, actually, is horrible. Even more, my partners from my football club bothered me and I couldn´t stop going there.
But since I touched the metal cube in the laboratory when I was escaping from my partners, that were bothering me, it was all different, it´s all different now, I´m still very introvert and I’m not more self confident than I was before, but my partners stopped bothering me and I feel that I have more friends nowadays. I have to keep going to that club, my father wants me to do it, to go there, he wants me to be a great scorer and a great football player as him, maybe it´s because of that that I’m a goal-scoring machine, a perfect robot. About my “friends”, I won´t take revenge, no, maybe they deserve it, but I’m not that kind of person, if I’m still a person, but I won’t do it, I feel pity for them. I will only show them that I´m better than them.
